Bus Eireann Alans Trip Competition Terms & Conditions

 

1. The promoter is Bus Éireann, a Limited Company Registered in Ireland at Broadstone., Dublin 7 No. 119570

2. Entry to the Bus Éireann Wherethemoodtakesme Competition (the "Competition") is open to residents of the island of Ireland. Individuals aged 18 years or over (proof of age may be required). The Promoter's employees and those of any of its associated companies, employees of any agencies connected with this Promotion will not be eligible to enter (or otherwise participate in) this Promotion.

3. No purchase necessary to enter the Competition.

4. Campaign will run between May 18th, 2011 and July 2nd, 2011

5. Each competition’s duration will run on particular day until hour specified for each individual competition and is open to residents of the island of Ireland. All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date.

6. Competitions will be held through Twitter via hashtag competitions and the blog wherethemoodtakesme.com.

7. To enter Twitter hashtag Competitions, participants must have a valid personal Twitter profile

2. Tweet (via Twitter) a response as required by individual spot prize competitions as instructed.

3. In order to submit an entry on Twitter, entrants must start their tweet with the #WTMTM hashtag, unless instructed otherwise, and also be a follower of @Alans_Trip

4. The entrant must ensure the tweet does not contain any material which: (i) is offensive and/or derogatory, (ii) is of a explicit and/or sexual nature, or (iii) is defamatory, libelous, obscene, or (iv) is otherwise illegal; Does not contain any material which violates any third party intellectual property rights (including, but not limited to, copyright, trade marks, or any other proprietary or personal right); and does not contain any trade/brand logos or reference other than incidental inclusion and/or relating to the Promoter’s products.

8. Competitions will run in the form of Polls, Suggestions, photo uploads personal interaction in real time events as set by our blogger Alan Bennett, social media interaction and as specified per individual competition.

1. To enter the Poll competition you will be asked to partake in individual Polls. The entrants will be entered into a draw and the winners will be randomly selected under independent supervision.

2. To enter into a Suggestion competition you will be asked to suggest individual places to dine or activities for Alan to participate in. The entrants will be entered into a draw and the winners will be randomly selected under independent supervision unless otherwise specified for select suggestions.

3. To enter into a Photo upload competition you will be asked to upload a specific photo or tag yourself/Alan in specific photos. The entrants will be entered into a draw and the winners will be randomly selected under independent supervision unless otherwise specified for select competitions. To enter a real time competition follower must adhere by competition rules ie: first ten to show up and help me build a sandcastle will win.

4. To enter Twitter hashtag competition, user must follow @Alans_trip and hashtag #WTMTM unless instructed otherwise.

5. To enter into a blog competition, user must comment below the specific blog as instructed. User must provide valid Email address to participate in competition and blog comments.

9. Entries into the Competition can be made only through a valid Twitter profile or Email address on blog wherethemoodtakesme.com.

10. All posts/opinions entered into the Competition will be subject to competition moderation. Photos/posts judged for the Competition must relate to themes around specific polls. Any pictures deemed to contain inappropriate content will be removed from the Competition*. See below for more details regarding the type of imagery not accepted in this Competition.

11. Comments and competition entries on wherethemoodtakesme.com will be subject to pre-moderation and may not appear instantly.

12. All entries will be used for lawful purposes only.

13. Participants can only enter into each competition once unless specified separately.

14. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws.

15. The Promoter and its agents accept no responsibility for difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to each competition. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

16. Bus Eireann cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the Competition or as a result of accepting any prize.

17. Bus Éireann reserve the right to publish winner’s fore-name, surname and county of the winner.

18. Photos entered into the Competition may be displayed on the Bus Éireann website and areas on other websites under the control of Bus Éireann (e.g. Facebook). By entering the Competition, you hereby acknowledge this and grant the Promoter a license to display entries on pages of the Bus Éireann website or portions of other websites under the control of Bus Éireann relating to the Competition.

19. The winners may be required to take part in publicity.

20. The winners waive any claim against Bus Éireann against use of the image in the future for Bus Eireann marketing and promotional materials and/or events.

21. Winners will receive prizes including goods or services provided by Bus Éireann. Allocation of prize(s) will be to individual(s) only. All winners will be notified by email and details of winners will be announced on facebook.com/AlansTrip, Twitter.com/Alans_Trip, and Blog sitewww.WhereTheMoodTakesMe.com. No other correspondence will be entered into concerning the result and the Promoter's decision is final.

22. Prizes to include; Bus Eireann travel vouchers each valued up to €30, iTunes vouchers up to €30, B&B vouchers, surf lessons, cinema tickets, dinner vouchers and tickets to selected events and activities.

23. Prizes are not transferable, nor can they be exchanged for other goods and there are no cash alternatives for prizes.

24. The Promoter reserves the right to amend or withdraw the Competition in the event of any unforeseen circumstances outside their reasonable control.

25. The Promoter reserves the right to terminate or temporarily suspend this promotion in the event of technical or other difficulties that might compromise its integrity.

26. The promoter will notify winners through their Twitter account direct messages or Email provided in registration to the blog before the end of the entire campaign. Should the drawn participant be unavailable or unable to be contacted the promoter may at it’s discretion choose a replacement participant to contact without further reference to the participant originally drawn.

27. Each winner must confirm acceptance of his or her prize when contacted otherwise a replacement winner will be drawn.

28. A winner of the prize cannot win more in the campaign.

29. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the Rules.

30. The Competition and these terms are governed by Irish law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.

31. Entrants are deemed to accept these terms and conditions by entering the Competition. Participants personal data will be used in accordance with the Promoter's Privacy Policy (details of which can be obtained by writing to the Promoter). Usual Bus Eireann Privacy Policy will apply.

*Inappropriate imagery includes, but is not limited to:

· Images which condone or celebrate excessive drinking of alcohol

· Images where persons appear to be minors under 16 years of age

· Images which may be perceived as offensive to a particular gender, race or religion, individual.

· Images which suggest any association with violence or with anti-social behavior.

· Images where the permission of those within the image has not been secured.
